Ark Ramsay (they/them) is a writer from Barbados.
Their work has appeared in or is forthcoming from The A-Line: Journal of Progressive Thought, Small Axe, Gertrude Press, Meridian, Adda, The Rumpus, Passages North, Wasafiri, and The Gulf Coast.
They have been a finalist for the Inaugural Story Foundation Prize through Story Magazine, an honorable mention in Ninth Letter's 2021 Literary Award for Nonfiction. In 2024, they were shortlisted for both the Wasafiri New Writing Prize and the 2024 Commonwealth Short Story Award.
They have attended the Swatch Peace Hotel Artist Residency in Shanghai (2023) and the inaugural Lucayan Archipelago Artist Residency in the Bahamas (2024).
They received an MFA from The Ohio State University in 2022.
